Anderson Manufacturing unveiled their new AM10 Gen2 at this year’s NRAAM.  Three different variants of this new DPMS-pattern design were on display with various barrel lengths.  I sat down with representatives from Anderson to go over these three new models at NRAAM 2022.

[NRAAM 2022] AM10 G2 AR-10 from Anderson Manufacturing

The newly designed Gen2 AM10 is tailor-made to accept industry-standard AR-10 components and accessories.  Built around the DPMS pattern, the Gen2 AM10 comes in 16″, 18″, and full size 20″ configurations.

The 16″ version is dubbed the AM-10 Battle Rifle and features an A2 birdcage flash hider, Magpul K2 pistol grip, and Magpul carbine buttstock.  The 16″ barrel is tucked underneath a 15″ M-LOK handguard.  All parts (minus furniture) are manufactured in-house by Anderson.

In addition to the 16″ Battle Rifle, there’s an 18″ Ranger and 20″ Marksman XL with some minor tweaks made.

Both the 18″ and 20″ models come with Anderson’s Knight Stalker Flash Hider equipped.  All three variants come threaded with 5/8×24 muzzle devices.

The lower receivers feature an oversized flared mag well for faster reloading.

All three models feature an 8620 steel bolt carrier with no dust cover or forward assist.  The 16″ and 18″ models have carbine length gas systems and buffers.  While the 20″ version comes with a rifle-length gas system and buffer that features a fixed Magpul PRS Lite buttstock.  MSRP for the Gen 2 AM10 rifles starts at $950 and the rifles are available now.
