Many people are often trepidatious about adopting a red dot into their regular carry or duty setup. While iron sights don’t require batteries and have been around nearly as long as the firearm has, red dots offer many advantages in a defensive or offensive situation that make them worth adopting into your normal rotation of firearms technologies. In an effort to make the adoption of red dots easier, Trijicon has just announced the introduction of their new Dual Defense Kit for the RMR. The Dual Defense Kit is intended to be a turn-key solution to adding a red dot to any RMR compatible pistol.

NEW Trijicon Dual Defense Kit – RMR & Night Sights
Wixom, MI – Trijicon® Inc., the global provider of innovative aiming solutions for the hunting, shooting, military, and law enforcement markets, introduces the Trijicon Dual Defense™ Kit. The Dual Defense Kit combines the legendary RMR® Type 2 Adjustable LED optic with the industry leading Bright & Tough™ Night Sight set into one, easy-to-use kit. Once installed, the two units work in conjunction to enhance shooting speed and precision for self-defense, law enforcement, military, competition, or target pistol shooters.
The Dual Defense Kit will come with an RMR Type 2 adjustable red dot sight in either a 3.25 MOA or 6.5 MOA red dot configuration. RMR Type 2s are one of the most popular Trijicon red dots due to a combination of their rugged reliability and long battery life. Meanwhile, the included suppressor height sights will be able to be clearly seen through the RMR lens and will include tritium phosphor lamps for a more visible sight picture in either low light or no light shooting situations. The sights will also feature white-painted rings around the lamps so the shooter will more easily be able to pick up a good sight picture during daytime use.
Each Dual Defense Kit will include one RMR, a pair of suppressor/optic height night sights, one CR2032 battery, 2 sets of mounting screws, a hex wrench, RMR Seal Plate, manual, sticker, warranty card and will be sold for a retail price of $845.
