TFB Weekly Web Deals 5: Demo, Used, Blemished, & Refurbished Optics

    0011

Welcome to TFB Weekly Web Deals 5! New firearms equipment can be expensive and a lot of the time our eyes are often quite bigger than our wallets. When it comes to optics, high-quality glass is just expensive and there is almost no way to avoid this, except for perhaps the methods that we’ll be using today. Demo, used, blemished, and refurbished are oftentimes sold by many firearms companies and online accessory retailers. Today we’ll be taking a look at some higher quality optics at the online retailer EuroOptic.com and give you guys a chance to pick some of these items at a vastly reduced price over their normal factory new pricing. All of these items are certified by Eurooptic as functioning but also may come with minor blemishes or may be missing certain parts like mounts, or scope rings. Most of these are “like-new demos” but I’ve also included some that are missing small parts which may not be an issue for some of you. A majority of these items are $100 or more off from their normal pricing.

    Vortex SPARC AR Red Dot

The SPARC has kind of fallen out of vogue in recent days due to the release of the newer solar charging SPARC Solar which claims to be able to triple the 50,000-hour battery life of the Gen 1 SPARC (SPC-AR2). This like-new demo unit comes with all of its mounts, one AAA battery, a rubber cover with flip caps, and a T-10 Torx wrench for assembly and disassembly. This particular model features a 2-MOA dot and comes with both an absolute co-witness mount and a lower 1/3 co-witness mount. The sale price is listed as $134.99 ($140 off).

    Nightforce ATACR 7-35x56mm Riflescope

This one features the biggest discount of the day – $515 off of retail pricing. The ATACR series of riflescopes are highly renowned by both military users and civilians alike despite their hefty price tag. This particular model is a showroom demo so it was likely carted around the country to various tradeshows like SHOT Show, NRAAM, and Triggrcon. Despite this, the ATACAR 7-35x56MM riflescope is still listed as a “like-new demo.” The scope features an illuminated FFP reticle, integrated zero stop, and includes a power throw lever and flip-caps for both the objective and ocular lenses. You can pick up this showroom demo for a price of $3,085.00.

    EOTech EXPS2-0 Holographic Sight

This is one that I wish I had seen last year. The EXPS2 is similar in nature to the XPS2 but adds greater compatibility with co-witness sights to its list of features. The EXPS2 features 20 brightness settings, a 68 MOA ring with a 1-MOA dot, and true 1X magnification. This particular item is a “like-new demo” so it may have lots of fingerprints on it or smudges on either of the lenses. Reviews on the page indicate that most people’s demo products arrived in literally new condition and most of them couldn’t even tell that they were demos at all. If you’re interested in picking one up you can currently get a demo unit for $125.01 off of its normal price of $499.99.

    Sig Sauer ROMEO1

Another “like-new demo”, the ROMEO1 is favored by many competitive shooters and those who also don’t feel like paying the extra $100 or so for the pro version of the sight that doubles the battery life. This is basically where the ROMEO1 suffers, it has about a 10,000-hour battery life, but it also is currently only $199.00 which is $100 down from its normal list price. If you’re a competitive shooter and don’t mind swapping out batteries more often using the top-loading battery tray, this could be a good way to get into the carry optics or open divisions without blowing your budget on the more expensive and better equipped ROMEO1 Pro. Another small downside of the ROMEO1 is that it uses a fairly uncommon footprint but adapters exist that convert it to the far more common RMR footprint.

    EOTech Vudu 3.5-18×50 FFP

The Vudu lineup of riflescopes is a mid-tier set of riflescopes that doesn’t quite reach the price levels of other high-end optics usually costing 3 racks or more. The VUDU 3.5-18x50mm FFP riflescope uses oversized turrets for quick dialing, an integrated EZ Check zero stop, and a side-mounted parallax adjustment combined with an illuminated MD1 reticle. The MD1 reticle is fairly simple and doesn’t include lots of numbers or extra hash marks making it a solid choice for hunters or those who just want a cleaner sight picture when shooting at long ranges. Brand new these optics normally cost about $1,600 but you can pick up this “like-new demo” unit for a price of $1,349.

    Kahles K 1-6×24 SM1 Illuminated LPVO Riflescope

The LPVO is a highly popular configuration for riflescopes mounted for competition and hunting use these days. This Kahles K 1-6×24 Second Focal Plane riflescope with an illuminated reticle is one of the higher-priced ones you can get access to from the very highly loved Kahels brand. This “like-new demo” optic features the SM1 reticle which has very simple subtensions and a large circle dot at its center for better performance at close ranges. These LPVOs normally retail for around $2,100 but you can pick this demo version up for $1,799.99 on Eurooptic.com.

    Trijicon RMR – RM07-35

The last item we have for this week is the legendary Trijicon RMR red dot sight. Usually found on pistols, they also find themselves right at home on PCCs and rifles. The Trijicon RMR has a long track record of being robust, reliable, and high quality if not a bit expensive. This “used” model features a 6.5 MOA red dot, uses the common CR2032 battery with up to 2-years of battery life, and has both automatic and manual brightness adjustments. The used model featured in this deal will be missing its mounting kit but you can pick one of those up from either Trijicon or from Eurooptic for about $20. This used optic is being sold for $471.00.

TFB Weekly Web Deals 5: Demo, Used, Blemished, & Refurbished Optics – Trijicon RMR RM07-35 Red Dot Optic

That’s all we’ve got for this week folks. Let us know if you’ve ever had any experience with Eurooptic second-hand deals before. From what I’ve read online, most customers are having a great experience and can easily pick up missing parts online and still come under retail pricing for the whole rig. I’ve been in the market for another RMR so the last listing from this week looks fairly attractive to me since I already have a bunch of spare hardware for the RMR sitting around. Anyway, thanks for stopping by to check out this week’s deals and we’ll see you all next Monday!
