Your favorite Italian-founded manufacturer of aftermarket and OEM magazines is excited to celebrate 30-years of US operations this year. Mec-Gar USA cracked the US market on April 20th, 1992 and fast became one of the largest distributors and importers of pistol magazines in the United States. 30-years later, Mec-Gar has become somewhat of a household name within the firearms community and the Mec-Gar name on magazines or just the mere mention of their name in the context of the production of the magazines is usually a sign of quality that many firearms owners trust.

Mec-Gar USA Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary
Mec-Gar USA is trusted by both civilians as well as military and law enforcement agencies the globe over. Among their trusted customers, Mec-Gar USA provides magazines to law enforcement, competition shooters, the US military, and even the United States Secret Service. In 2021, Mec-Gar USA had a record year for magazine production and they also expanded their magazine lineup to slake the thirst of competition shooters for reliable USPSA compatible magazines that fit within the 140mm length rule.
Mec-Gar Vice-President for the United States David Kochol stated “I am proud of the relationships we have developed over the last 30 years with our customers, wholesalers, dealers, and our employees. I have seen employees work with our Italian division on the development of new products for the US market. I am also proud of the work that we have done for our wholesalers and retailers.
Mec-Gar also hinted at SHOT 2022 that they would be producing new magazines for an unnamed micro-compact 9mm pistol. According to Daniel Y, who interviewed them at the show, it will probably not be a SIG, Kimber, Taurus, Walther, Wilson Combat, Girsan, S&W, Springfield, CZ, Mossberg or Canik. Some of you commented that it might be a Glock magazine, while others thought it might be an H&K pistol and some even thought it might be for the PSA Dagger 9mm pistol. However, what is almost universally agreed upon here is that Mec-Gar makes high-quality magazines for almost any platform. So congrats to Mec-Gar USA on 30-years of successful business!
