I’m a meat and potatoes kind of guy, and honestly, I’ve never been one for flashy firearms. My go-to colors are black and tan. But when my inbox had the announcement from Atlantic Firearms about this 24K Gold AK, I couldn’t help but drool a tiny bit. Is it gaudy? Yes. Tacky even? Oh my, absolutely! But something about how well the finish job on this gun came out makes me just want to hold it for a little while and pretend I didn’t just have to decide between beef or chicken ramen this week.

What Atlantic Firearms has to say about the 24K Gold AK:

Looking for a Real Gold Plated AK47 Rifle… Atlantic Firearms teamed up with Gold Guns in Texas to “put the finishing touches” on an already beautiful Kalashnikov, the Polish 762SC Jack Rifle by WBP. The Team at Gold Guns is know for taking your custom project to the next level. They offer a variety of finishes and Atlantic couldn’t;t stay away from the Mirror Finish 24 Karat Gold. In order to do this Gold Guns first has to strip all the original finish from the rifle. Then work on polishing all the exterior metal surfaces before cleaning the firearm, more polishing and then more cleaning. It is all very time consuming and a detailed process. Once that is all complete Gold Guns can do what they do best, apply the Gold. All metal parts are finished with Gold. The exceptions being of the bolt assembly, and other springs and tightly tolerance items(example:rear sight leaf spring). You will also see the stock hardware and pistol grip screw receive the Gold Treatment. This all comes together with the original Polish Laminate Stock set and Bakelite Pistol Grip to set this apart from the rest. Nothing compares to this high polish finish and it is something that can best be appreciated in person. We understand that may not be for everyone (pricepoint, personal taste, etc). However, those looking for that collectible Gold AK for your collection, then this is one for you. These will be extremely limited production numbers and no special requests.

The Polish WBP Jack AK-47 rifle is chambered in 762×39 semi auto and accepts a wide variety of mags and drums. These are beautiful rifles with Old School styling and look like an AK should look with gorgeous laminate stock set and 24 Karat Gold plated finish. The barrels are supplied by FB Radom the Polish Military supplier and are hammer forged and chrome lined yielding years of service and fantastic accuracy. The rifle sports factory serial numbers on most major parts for added collect ability & resale value. If you are looking for the ULTIMATE Man Cave Showpiece this is the rifle for you!

24K Gold AK features:

One thing I can appreciate is the 24K Gold AK is a high-quality import. Now the price tag as of this writing is a bit steep at $5399.99 freedom bucks. And honestly, I could pay off the rest of my car loan with that. But can we really put a price on owning something that only a Bond villain (or someone who thinks they’re one) would be seen in public with?
