Primary Weapons Systems is well known in the firearms industry as a quality rifle component company and has grown rapidly since its formation in 2008. One of the largest firearms manufacturers in the Northwest United States, PWS quickly grew from making accessories like compensators and other muzzle accessories to manufacturing venerated products like their PWS Long-Stroke Piston System. As of March 21, 2022, Primary Weapons Systems has been acquired by the Georgia-based company Vigilant Gear Holdings and joins a family of companies that now include Lone Wolf Distributors and Lone Wolf Arms.

Vigilant Gear Holdings Acquires Primary Weapons Systems

Dean Sylvester, Founder of PWS says, “I am very happy with the acquisition. The values of PWS have always been innovation, quality and customer service. These values will continue to define PWS as it grows, and I feel confident that Vigilant Gear Holdings will only grow these values and expand the reach of the PWS brand.

Vigilant Gear Holdings in an effort to prepare for the acquisition has invested a lot of capital into the business with the purchase of a new stainless-steel 3D printer, a barrel blank manufacturing cell, as well as a titanium 3D printer. All of this new equipment should further the ability of PWS to manufacture more than 90% of its components in-house.

Although PWS and Lone Wolf Arms will both be part of the same parent company, they will be independently operated as separate entities keeping their individual mission statements pure to their founders’ goals. According to Vigilant Gear Holdings CEO Nate Treadway:

PWS is known as an evolutionary design and manufacturing company. Our goal is to continue pushing the envelope, while keeping the core values of the organization. We have a variety of innovative new products releasing throughout 2022, and we are excited to branch out to different sectors in the firearms market.
