HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Gucci G2 or Gaudy Garbage?

Welcome everyone to the 137th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

In our last edition, our poll showed that you, the readers, found the DMAX to be a very hot gat.

At this time the original auction has ended with the DMAX selling for $1,999. Sadly we can’t see who purchased the firearm, but congratulations to our mystery buyer on the purchase of your certified hot gat.

In this week’s edition of HGFC, we look at a Gucci-themed Taurus G2C chambered in 9mm. As is tradition, this flashy gold gat is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $575 Buy It Now.

Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:

“This is a gun that appeals to those who wear actual Gucci. Those with 0 taste.” – Lucas D.

“I can’t believe somebody would ruin a beautiful Taurus by putting that disgusting pattern on it” – Hop

“This would go great with my knockoff handbag” – Luke C.

“For that up and coming rapper who fakes it to make it.” – Nick C.

“Coming soon to a drive-by near you!” – Will P.

“And for once I wouldn’t mind a big firm lawsuit crushing a poor soul…” – Giorgio O.

“Literally the only Taurus I would ever purchase. Hot gat.” – James Reeves

Selling this heavily engraved gat is GunBroker seller Imports123, located in Houston TX. Let’s see what they had to say about this custom gold Taurus.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Gucci G2 or Gaudy Garbage?

Seeing the iconic Gucci pattern laid over the Taurus logo is almost fitting. It’s like a tribute to all the knock-off bags that have been sold to people wanting just a taste of the good life. Pair the two, and honestly, I don’t think I could be upset. If you’re going to be frugal you might as well go all the way. Now certainly isn’t the time to blow the rest of your non-existent budget.

I have to admit, as far as Ballin on a budget goes, this G2C is actually looking pretty snazzy. This series has seen its fair share of engraved firearms, and this engraving work is pretty well executed. Part of me wishes it were worse so it was easier to dislike, but hey, gotta give credit where it’s due.

I’m certainly not a huge fan of the Taurus lineup (that’s Hop’s job), but I honestly could see this gun selling for the price. Or who knows, maybe this is one of those guns that are better off left behind? So as always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
