I don’t know a single person who doesn’t think lever-action firearms are cool. There has been a recent trend of lever-action guns receiving the modern treatment. The new Marlin Extended Sight System from Midwest Industries gives you a full-length top Picatinny rail for mounting optics, lasers, or whatever else you can come up with. The handguard is made from hard coat anodized 6061 aluminum and features M-LOK slots all the way around. Included is a 5-slot rail section to get you started mounting your accessories. With the use of M-LOK, there are plenty of ways to attach a sling. However, if you prefer traditional hunting slings, there is a forward-mounted sling swivel at the six o’clock position. Also included is a set of heavy-duty steel ghost ring sights, which are adjustable for windage and elevation. This is currently available only for 1895 models, but the 1894 system will be released at a later date.
