POTD: Belgian Sniper with Barrett M82 Rifle
TFB’s Photo Of The Day tries to push the excellent work done by so many photographers around the World and in the firearms industry. It’s a celebration to those who go in harm’s way trying to catch those special moments for us, but also those who stay in the studio working out the perfect lighting and setting hour after hour. Armed with skills, cameras and sometimes a fair bit of editing here is where their hard work ends up.
Above we have a picture from U.S. Special Operations Command Europe, taken during the ISTC Desert Sniper Course at Chinchilla Training Area, Spain in the summer of 2018. We see a sniper from Belgium fire his Barrett M82 .50 caliber rifle during a range session from 700 to 2200 meters away. It looks like a wonderful time and an excellent shooting range.
Below: The muzzle blast from a Belgian sniper’s Barrett M82 .50 caliber rifle kicks up dust while firing rapid shots.
This photo is from the same shooting range: Norwegian Snipers’ Targets Beyond 2200 Yards – Barrett MRAD.

That's an M107A1, not an M82.
Spent all day last Thursday next to a 107 on the ejection port side — very unpleasant day at the range.
