TFB’s Photo Of The Day tries to push the excellent work done by so many photographers around the World and in the firearms industry. It’s a celebration to those who go in harm’s way trying to catch those special moments for us, but also those who stay in the studio working out the perfect lighting and setting hour after hour. Armed with skills, cameras and sometimes a fair bit of editing here is where their hard work ends up. The production of today’s pictures is from Slovenia and involves a lot of fresh air and very little inside studio work.
Here we have U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade laying down fire with a “crew-served weapon” during a live-fire exercise in Poček Training Area, Slovenia. This happened during Exercise Lipizzaner VI, Feb 4, 2020.
Lipizzaner IV was a combined squad-level training exercise involving U.S. and Slovenian forces taking place at Poček Training Area, Slovenia. Exercise Lipizzaner was designed to validate the defensive postures of the 173rd Brigade Support Battalion as well as enhance interoperability between the 173rd Airborne Brigade and their Slovenian NATO Allies.
