Magpul Enhanced Ejection Port Cover (EEPC)
Traditional ejection port covers for the AR-15 suffer from a few drawbacks. Namely, if anything ever goes wrong with them, changing one out is an exercise in pain. First, remove the muzzle device to remove the handguard. Then remove the gas block to remove the barrel nut. Then you can finally replace the ejection port cover. After all of that, you can reinstall the barrel nut to reinstall the gas block to reinstall the handguard to reinstall the muzzle device.The Magpul EEPC, as I’m going to call it for brevity’s sake, fixes that issue neatly. By utilizing a captured spring and a simple squeeze-tab, the dust cover can be dropped into any mil-spec AR-15 upper. The captured spring prevents the dust cover pin from potentially walking out, and the squeeze tab makes installation a breeze. Furthermore, the polymer construction renders Magpul’s EEPC immune to corrosion. In the same vein, it’s also resistant to dings and scrapes. The Magpul EEPC will also come in three colors from the factory (Black, FDE, OD Green), and as a result, can be mixed and matched with your rifle.

The Enhanced Ejection Port Cover is a drop-in upgrade designed to provide an improved installation process, physical strength, and corrosion resistance over the standard USGI ejection port cover. Traditional stamped-steel ejection ports are malleable, prone to corrosion, and require tools to install. The Enhanced Ejection Port Cover snaps into place easily without having to remove your hand guard or barrel nut, wind any loose springs, or adjust small e-clips. Constructed of impact-resistant injection molded polymer, it is corrosion resistant and will not bend or deform from impacts.
