Photo Of The Day – established in 2014 this is our way to show various photos with firearms on a daily basis. If you’ve been out in the wild for some time, I’m sure the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from the Alaska Army National Guard is a welcome sight.

Medics from the 6th Brigade Engineer Battalion (Airborne), 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Army Alaska, carry a simulated casualty to an extraction point.

Below: Alaska Army National Guard aviators hoist a simulated casualty with a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter. I had a similar extraction once in my life (simulated), it was a pretty enjoyable flight back home to the base for a few days R&R.
