The Savage A-Series of semi-automatic rimfire rifles has been very popular for rimfire shooters and hunters. Savage has just announced the addition of a new caliber offering for their A17 Thumbhole and Sporter rifles with .17 Winchester Super Magnum (.17 WSM). The new A17 WSM rifle is available now and will retail for an MSRP of $619 for the Sporter edition or $709 for the Thumbhole version. The .17 WSM is an extremely light and extremely fast varmint hunting caliber popular with small game hunters.

The rifle will feature Savage’s accurate button-rifled .17 caliber barrels, Savage’s user-adjustable AccuTrigger, and of course high-quality laminate stocks. The A-series of rimfire rifles were the first semi-automatic rimfire rifle specifically designed for the .17 HMR and .17 WSM calibers and are now offered in .17 WSM – a popular varmint hunting caliber that features a light bullet weight combined with an extremely fast muzzle velocity.
