I really like the addition of the Picatinny accessory rail to the dust cover and I think it not only adds a lot of utility to the 1911 platform but also makes it look really cool. I will be interested to see if existing 1911 light-bearing holsters will accommodate the new Springfield 1911 Operator or if the market will have to rise to meet the demand for these new pistols.
