TFB B-Side Podcast: Talking Recoilless Launchers with Johnny Wild

Rocket Launchers, Recoilless Launchers, Bazookas and all other forms of explosive payload small arms are pretty rare to see even within the NFA sphere. One man, and our guest for today, Jonathan Wild, is making it more mainstream. A Canadian-born, UK-raised American citizen, Jonny has an unparalleled enthusiasm for not only firearms but recoilless launchers. Today on the podcast Johnny and I are talking all about his various firearms and launcher projects as well as some of his history as a gun owner and how he came to start these wild projects and books. Most of you here at TFB will remember his work done on some new types of caseless ammunition, as well as my favorite project he’s done and what started it all the Panzerfaust.

Today on the TFB B-Side podcast we have Johnny Wild of Wild Arms Research and Development (WARD). Johnny is a multi-national citizen who has a penchant for historical firearms and in particular – weird recoilless launchers. Johnny is most well known on TFB for his numerous projects including a fully functional and mostly historically accurate Panzerfaust-30 as well as the development of his own variation of caseless ammunition. Jonathan is also the author of a very highly detailed series with his first book Expedient Recoilless Launcher: Panzerfaust available on Amazon for just $20. The book contains high-resolution photos and a detailed breakdown of his journey from start to finish with his Panzerfaust project. If you’ve said that buying a silencer is too expensive, too long of a wait, or that the paperwork is too confusing, you’re not alone. Buying a silencer is a big deal, and we don’t take it lightly either! But it’s the easiest it’s ever been!

How can some folks be so clever and so damn dumb at the same time. It's really very clever to be able to build a fliegerfaust or a panzerfaust in your garage. No doubt.
It is, conversely, unbelievably dumb to post pictures of it on the internet or publish a how-to book with your name and face. Because that's how you end up on the terrorist watch list, or worse, wake up to 30 feds driving through your front door in an armoured truck.

@ It means even if you have paperwork, it doesn't stop the feds from showing up and deciding that the paperwork they gave you doesn't count anymore, as happened to Polymer80 over their build kits, Q over their pistol braces, whoever it was that made bump stocks, etc.
