POTD: French FN Minimi on Full-Auto

    French FN Minimi on Full-Auto

The FN Minimi on full-automatic fire is always a pleasure to see in pictures, not to mention in real-life. Developed by Ernest Vervier, it is widely adopted and used by more than 75 countries. The U.S. Army calls it the M249 SAW light machine gun. The Para version, with a short barrel and a telescopic buttstock, is used by the French Army, and here by the 35e régiment d’infanterie.

The world famous FN MINIMI 5.56 Light Machine Guns Mk1 and Mk2 have been adopted by 70 countries worldwide as a standard issue for regular and special forces. The FN MINIMI 5.56 Mk3 Light Machine Gun has recently been designed and developed for improved ergonomics and handling.
Here you can see the Minimi (left) together with soldiers carrying the HK416F.
For 3 weeks, the scorpions of the 4th company were able to practice combat in urban areas at the Cenzub area. The first week, devoted to training, allows them to train before entering the combat phase.
