Hello and welcome to TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 23. A couple of weeks ago we went over a few items that would make for great stocking stuffers for friends, coworkers, and family who like guns. Since we are now in the month of December, and many of you probably don’t have your Christmas shopping done yet, I thought it would be good to do another stocking stuffer-themed list this week to help you guys round out your lists.
TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 23: More Gun Guy Stocking Stuffers
Bore snakes are a great gift and are quite simple and effective tools for keeping your pistols, rifles, and shotguns in mint condition. Hoppe’s bore snakes come with a unique T-handle which is integrated into its “den” lid. The snake den case is also nice and convenient for storage inside of your range bag or in your toolbox and keeps the bristled end from snagging on the inside of your range bag as well. Currently, Hoppe’s Bore Snakes are on sale for under $10 at a price of $9.19 – the lowest price I’ve seen them in the last several months.
This one came from a fellow writer at the blog and he has voiced for the quality of this reticle leveling system by saying “it paid for itself the first time I used it.” The Wheeler leveling system features a versatile and accurate barrel clamp as well as a magnetic base for the scope level to ensure it doesn’t fall off during the leveling process. If you’re an avid rifle shooter and are either expecting or have just purchased a new scope for your rifle, then this is a must-have item for your or your friend’s toolbox. The Wheeler Engineering Reticle Leveling System is currently on sale for $48.30 which is about 19% off of its normal price.
The reality of working with guns is that you’re going to need a lot of tools to keep them maintained. Hex and Torx bits have become very common within the gun industry, especially with modern firearms so it’s always good to have a set on hand. While this kit probably falls into the upper end of what you could stuff into a stocking, I still think it’s affordable enough to give as a gift to a friend or coworker who you know is just getting into guns (you know before they inevitably buy a hundred different tools from twenty different manufacturers). This set is currently on sale for $35.63.
Do you know anyone who would say no to more of these? I don’t, and I have too many already. Ammo cans are great for just about anything including ammunition storage (duh). I tend to use mine to sort parts, tools, and other stuff in addition to my ammunition storage and these new production ammunition cans are very similar to the ones you’ll find at your local gun show but they’ll have the benefit of brand new paint, and new seals that work. This kit includes one 50 caliber ammunition can and one 30 caliber ammunition can and is currently on sale for $28.19.
I know this one isn’t a stocking stuffer but I also happen to think ammo cans make the perfect gift wrap/container for those of us who aren’t the best gift wrappers.
This #1 Best Seller book is a classic and a perfect stocking stuffer for the gun people out there who also love their cats. The book is a nice casual read and is quite inexpensive. If you’re curious about the content of the book, check out this small excerpt from the description of the book by the author (the entire book is satire).
So my cat finds a gun, what’s the big deal?
It is frequently said that curiosity killed the cat, but what is often left unsaid is that the actual cause of death was the improper discharge of a firearm by a poorly trained feline. Cats are inquisitive creatures, no doubt about it. They are going to explore every nook and cranny of your home. And if you keep a firearm in your place of residence (which you should), it is only a matter of time before your cat discovers it. Pawse for a meowment to think about which scenario you would rather have play out:
Your cat, never having seen or handled a gun before, bats it around as if it’s just another toy or stuffed mouse, possibly discharging it in the process?
Your cat, whom you have already talked to about how a firearm is a tool and not a toy, and who has received extensive training on the proper handling of the weapon, discovers your firearm and accords it the respect it is due?
The answer should be as obvious as the whiskers on your cat’s face!
Target pasters are truly a money saver at the range. Each box comes with 1,000 1/2″ sized adhesive stickers that are good for covering up your previous shots to extend the life of your paper targets. The posters come in black, orange, or white depending on the type of target you want to attach them to and the box is just small enough to fit inside a normal-sized stocking. A 1,000 count box is currently on sale for $9.20.
