Two keys are provided with instructions that are very easy to follow.

First things first, you’ll need to remove the top from the table.  Simply slide the top out until two plastic tabs are exposed.  Push each tab away from the direction it was facing while pulling outward on the top to remove it from the base.

Next, you’ll need to grab an SAE toolset, or at a minimum a crescent wrench.  I opted to use this Craftsman Ratchet with a deep socket to accommodate the longer bolts.

If you lay the table at a 45-degree angle, you can get one side’s legs on before moving to the other side.  Once you have all four legs on, work your way around double checking that each bolt is snug, and that each washer is secure between its bolt and the bracket.

Now it’s time to re-install the top of the table.  The easiest way to do this is to extend the slides fully before lining them both up.  From there press the top slides into the lower ball bearing slides, and the top glides back into place.

From start to finish it should only take you about 5-10 minutes to have the table fully assembled and ready to be used.

For my review, I used the Concealment End Table to store my nightstand gun, and a few other EDC essentials.  All of this of course being out of sight, and out of mind for guests or friends visiting.

The interior of the Oak Hollow Furniture Concealment End Table is spacious and allows for a lot of storage.  I didn’t want to ding the solid wood finish, so I found a soft white cloth to place inside for added protection for the wood.  Some objects on top of the table might slide around a little if you find yourself opening and closing the table frequently.  But even loaded down, the table still provided rapid access to firearms even when loaded down.

Pro’s and Cons

The ball bearing slides on this table are incredible, and multiple times I found myself opening it with a glass of water on top without it spilling.  They’re quiet, smooth, and just feel like luxury.  Speaking of luxury, the Concealment End Table is made from solid wood and will look classy now and for years to come.

I found myself wanting an option to include some sort of fabric padding for the spacious interior.  Not only would this prevent anything inside from sliding around, but it would protect the wood as well.  Additionally, the lock itself was a little stiff at first when I was unlocking the table.  After a few repeated uses, it started free up and wouldn’t bind.  This is always something to be wary of before you go locking up your valuables in any new product.

Does the Oak Hollow Furniture Concealment End Table replace your pistol or rifle safe?  No, but it does provide you another level of security through obscurity.  So if you’re in the market for a discreet way to store some EDC items bedside (or otherwise in your home) I strongly consider taking a look at the Oak Hollow Furniture Concealment End Table.  I’ve been loving the extra space on top of my nightstand.
