TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 34: Airgun Deals for Cheap Backyard Training

Welcome to TFB Weekly Amazon Deals 20. Last week our good friend and TFBTV presenter Hop went over his 2021 list for the top 5 budget-minded red dots. Red dots are a great way to get a bit more utility out of your rifle and faster target acquisition over iron sights and while there are much better and more durable red dots out there on the market, sometimes we have to work within a tight budget (especially around the holidays). Since Hop brought out his list, I thought it prudent to put together a listing for you guys of some of his Top 5 Red Dot ist. If you haven’t checked out his video on his Top 5 Budget Red Dots yet, you can check it out down below. For the rest of you, enjoy the deals and pick yourself up an early Christmas gift for one of the eight rifles you haven’t told your wife about yet. If you’re into budget-priced firearms, accessories, and optics, Hop is your man and speaks to the poor man that lives inside all of us. Check out more of his videos down below:

Sig Romeo MSR Red Dot Sight

As Hop stated in his video, the SIG Romeo MSR is as simple as it gets when it comes to red dots and contains everything you need to upgrade your rifle from iron sights but also doesn’t feature anything you don’t need. On top of that, it’s also one of the least expensive red dots on the market right now and is often on sale (like it is right now.) You can usually pick up the SIG Romeo MSR for about $100 but it is currently on sale on Amazon for $84.67.

    Holosun HS515GM

Another item from Hop’s list is the Holosun HS515GM which is basically a stand-in for an Aimpoint T2 with a significantly lower price point. Powered by a CR2032 battery and featuring a more rugged design than some of Holosun’s other offerings, the HS515GM features both a standard dot as well as a circle dot reticle and is made from 7000 series aluminum. If you’re going to pick one of these up, you’ll want to make sure you don’t want Holosun’s similar HS515CM which features Holosun’s solar backup mode. The HS515GM is currently on sale for $319.99.

    Sig Sauer  Romeo5

The SIG Sauer Romeo 5 is another budget red dot from SIG that is less than $200 and frequently goes on sale. The main difference between the MSR and the Romeo 5 is the inclusion of automatic shut-off and shake awake features. This is what Hop considers to be the gold standard for budget red dots. For the price and features, they work great and last forever. The SIG ROMEO5 is currently on sale for $115.99.

    Holosun HS403B (Not the HS403R)

I was initially going to include the HS403R in this article but the fact is that while the HS403R is better than the 403B in many respects, the HS403R is currently not on sale. If you want to pick up an HS403R you can check one out here. For the rest of you, the HS403B features button controls similar to the Aimpoint T1. The main difference between the 403B and 403R is that the 403B features push buttons and an unprotected turret cap while the 403R features protected turret caps and a rheostat dot brightness control. The HS403B is currently on sale for $142.99.

    AIMPOINT PRO

The Aimpoint PRO is the last item on our list and like all of the other terminating items on our Amazon lists, this one isn’t on sale. The Aimpoint PRO is considered to be one of the most feature-rich red dots on the market and is even perfectly suitable for use with night vision devices. The main downside of the Aimpoint Pro is that it is both heavy, uses a weird battery, and bulky compared to the other options on this list and it’s also much more expensive. However, the Aimpoint PRO is still nearly indestructible, has a great battery life, and is perfect for use with night vision. You can pick one up now from Amazon for $445.00.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this week’s amazon deals. Let us know down in the comments what your favorite option is for budget red dot optics. My personal favorite from this list is probably the Holosun HS403R due to its combination of price and features. However, I think a close runner up for this position would probably also be the SIG Sauer ROMEO5 which I’ve had tons of experience with, and I have found that despite its deceptively low price, it’s more than capable of holding its own when mounted on top of an AR.
