Earlier this week, Brownells began a promotion to support the Special Operations Wounded Warriors (SOWW) foundation by promising to give 4% of their overall sales through Sunday, November 14th. The funds donated by Brownells and used by the SOWW will go towards helping Purple Heart recipients of the Special Operations community for their service and sacrifice to our country on this special day on which we honor those that have served.

SOWW to be Benefited by a Portion of Brownell’s Sales for Veteran’s Day
SOWW is a 501(c)(3) charity that was formed in 2012 with the specific purpose of providing outdoor experience to a very select group of both active duty and veteran US military special operations forces who have been wounded in battle and received a Purple Heart. Although the charity accepts traditional donations, Brownells has stepped in to provide additional funding to the organization through its website. From the time of posting till November 14th, Brownells will donate 4% of each sale made at brownells.com up to an amount of $175,000 to support the SOWW.
SOWW does great work to help people who have put everything on the line for us and our country,” said Vice President of Marketing Ryan Repp. “Brownells has supported SOWW for a long time, and we are proud to keep finding ways to help them help our Special Operations veterans.
The SOWW is partially headed up by Board Member Staff Sergeant Bobby Dove who was injured while on Patrol in Afghanistan by an IED which lead to his right hand and leg having to be amputated. Since then, Bobby has made a significant recovery and was eventually medically retired in 2014 after which Bobby has been actively been involved with numerous nonprofit organizations and now serves in the Board of Directors for Special Operations Wound Warriors.
