Primary Arms recently announced an expansion of their factory in Texas, with a new facility next to their Houston headquarters doubling the size of their warehouse facilities. In this article, we’ll look closer at something smaller, namely their new reticle option for long-range shooting called the ACSS Apollo .308/6.5GRN. This reticle is now available for the SLx 3-18x50mm FFP Rifle Scope. As you know a poor reticle choice can ruin even the best optics, so choose wisely based on your needs.

    Primary Arms Optics @ TFB:

The new reticle features an advanced holdover system calibrated to match .308 Winchester and 6.5 Grendel cartridges. It combines fine MIL stadia and a precise center chevron with BDC holdovers from 300 out to 1000 yards.

The ACSS APOLLO .308/6.5 Grendel Reticle provides ranging, bullet drop, and wind holds out to 1,000 yards in up to 20 mph crosswinds. It has a First Focal Plane reticle which is true at every magnification and a full reticle illumination that is daylight bright.

In the product announcement below you will find more facts, presented by Primary Arms Optics:

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Primary Arms Optics is proud to announce a new reticle option for long-range marksmanship: the ACSS® Apollo® .308/6.5GRN Reticle, now available for the SLx® 3-18x50mm FFP Rifle Scope. Combining the scope’s optical quality with this intuitive reticle design, any capable marksman can achieve hits out to 1000 yards with ease.

The ACSS Apollo .308/6.5GRN is a brand-new reticle that features an advanced holdover system calibrated to match .308 Winchester and 6.5 Grendel cartridges. The ACSS Apollo .308/6.5GRN blends fine MIL stadia and an infinitely precise center chevron with BDC holdovers from 300 to 1000 yards. These holdovers include wind corrections for 5, 10, 15, and 20mph crosswinds, allowing the user to predict impact in an ever-changing environment. This reticle also includes a build-in ranging ladder, which can be used to estimate distance-to-target by both height and width. Combined with the scope’s excellent glass quality, users are able to leverage this reticle to its fullest potential, achieving first shot hits with improved consistency and speed.

“The ACSS Apollo .308/6.5GRN reticle is a crossover DMR/precision reticle with a fast auto-ranging BDC and integrated wind holds,” says Dimitri Mikroulis, creator of the ACSS reticle system. “This reticle uses exact MIL/MIL firing solutions to match .308 Winchester and 6.5 Grendel cartridges.”

The ACSS Apollo .308/6.5GRN reticle will be first available on the SLx 3-18x50mm FFP Rifle Scope, which is part of the Primary Arms SLx optics line. Every SLx 3-18x50mm FFP Rifle Scope is 100% hand-inspected in Houston, Texas to ensure reliable function and optical clarity.

Priced at $479.99, this scope is affordable to most enthusiasts, though the glass quality and feature set allows it to compete with scopes at a much higher price point. These features include daylight bright illumination, locking resettable turrets, and an extra-smooth magnification ring with removable power fin.
