FN America AR15 Barrels Now Available Through Primary Arms
We are excited to kick off our recent FN America partnership with their high-quality line of AR-15 barrels, These barrels are all chrome lined, high pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected, and machined with proven gas port values for reliable functionality.
-Aaron Whatley – Primary Arms Director of Merchandising
FN America’s AR15 barrels cover a wide variety of rifling styles, barrel lengths, gas system lengths as well as profiles. Each of the barrels available at Primary Arms is either cold hammer-forged or button rifled and has a full Manganese Phosphate coating to resist corrosion. Each of the barrels also features standard M4 feed rams and 1:7RH twist rates optimized for use with heavier grain match and precision ammunition.
So what will one of these FN America AR15 Barrels set you back? Primary Arms has stated that these barrels will be priced “fairly” starting at $199.99 and $299.99. On the site, I notice that many of the 16″ and 18″ barrels are priced somewhere in the middle of that price point right around $235.00 in Government Profile. With a barrel being the primary pressure-bearing component of a rifle it is essential that it be made from quality materials and to very precise specifications and dimensions. FN America has a long-standing reputation for having some of the best combat-proven barrels in the business. What have your experiences been with FN America barrels and do you think you might pick one up to start a new AR15 build?

Random question: When you're cranking out barrels in FN quantities, does making them via cold hammer forging really cost more than button rifling?
FN's CHF barrels have a $299 MSRP vs the $235 for button rifled at Primary Arms.
I hope these are not FN rejects that PA bought for a song and dance and is selling them at full msrp
