Hello and welcome to TFB Podcast Roundup 11. This week we’ve got a wide variety of subjects to listen to ranging from conversations with Steven Rinella about how “organic” wild game really is all the way to a new podcast we from our very own ranks. The more I listen to podcasts found within the gun world, the more I realize just how unique our community is and how many different personalities can be found across the nation no matter what kinds of reasons you’re into firearms for. If you’ve been listening to any really interesting podcasts or have a specific episode of something you’ve heard that normally isn’t gun-related but touches on the subject, feel free to let us know in the comments down below and we’ll give it a listen!

TFB Podcast Roundup 11: California Guys, The Future, and Wild Game
Length: 135 Minutes
Subjects: Answering the important question about just how organic the wild game you hunt is
Steve Rinella is one of the world’s most famous outdoorsmen and hunters and has loads of tales and experience when it comes to hunting both domestic and foreign game found all across the globe. In this episode of his MeatEater podcast, he talks a lot about the environmental factors that impact the wild game and how it compares to our efforts within the states to produce truly organic meat.
Length: 98 Minutes
Subjects: An interview with comedian Dan Cummins and a LIVE tattooing
The Black Rifle Coffee podcast is a bit more laid back compared to some of the other topical podcasts that I normally feature but this episode caught my eye with its clickbait title and I ended up sitting through nearly the entire 90 minutes and was satisfactorily entertained by the entire thing. If you’re looking for a break from the monotony and like a bit of good humor, then you should definitely check out this one from the guys at the Black Rifle Coffee podcast and comedian Dan Cummins.
Length: 44 Minutes
Subjects: The fight for the 2nd Amendment throughout history, new gun owners, and looking into the future of gun ownership
This is the season finale of season 5 of the History Unloaded podcast which has come to be one of my favorite podcasts. Danny and Ashley often go over some of the most obscure and less known parts of firearms history and development and also delve into a lot of the attitudes and struggles that firearms went through in our past to bring them into perspective during our modern times. If you’re looking for a more thought-provoking podcast than the episode above, then look no further.
Length: 36 Minutes
Subjects: Tom Sotis explains how to bein a safer concealed carrier
This week’s subject is carrying safer with Tom Sotis. We also discussed carrying a knife, flashlight and even a tactical pen. This is a very good discussion about de-escalation and situational awareness, also. Concealment Solutions (handgunworld discount code, 10% off) Keepers Concealment and CCW Safe (KC10off discount code, 10% discount.) Carry Safer Amok Global
Length: 27 Minutes
Subjects: Gun ownership, shooting sports and the woes of being a gun guy in the State of California
Earlier this week, I spoke with one of our newer writers, Nic L, about his time being born and raised in the state of California. Nic has an interesting upbringing and it seems almost inevitable that he would become a gun guy despite his upbringing. In this episode of the TFB B-Side Podcast, Nic and I talk about his struggles in California as well as the freedom he’s earned back as he’s moved away from the state and how things compare on a basic level for gun owners living in the state.
Thanks for stopping by to check out this week’s podcasts. We’ve got more in store for you here at TFB with new podcasts coming out every week as well as new episodes of both the TFB Behind the Gun Podcast and the TFB B-Side Podcasts featuring your very own TFB writers and TFBTV presenters. If you’ve got any suggestions for good podcasts, please feel free to leave them down in the comments!
