RCBS Releases the Remastered RCBS Reloading App

Those of you who reload and keep a close eye on the industry will know that RCBS recently released the Chargemaster Link and Chargemaster Supreme powder dispensers. These new digital powder dispensers are some of the most advanced pieces of reloading equipment available to consumers and are packed full of medical-grade load cells for precise loadings as well as new creature comforts to make reloading easier with today’s modern technology. RCBS has just released their remastered RCBS reloading app which was polished up to coincide with the arrival of the Chargemaster Link and Chargemaster Supreme.

I recently attended an event where I was able to get some hands-on time with the new powder dispensers and although I didn’t get a chance to use them with the new RCBS reloading app, I did get a good explanation from Will Hemeyer who said that there are tons of things you can do besides dispensing powder from the app including viewing load logs, recording very specific data points and even keeping track of how many times your cases have been loaded.

Other data like the date you opened your bottle of power will help those ultra-serious reloaders out there keep track of details they think are important. The RCBS Reloading App has been updated to make use of all the features included in the Chargemaster Supreme, Link, and even the MatchMaster powder dispensers. The app even includes accommodation for recording barometric pressure and humidity at the time of the powder being dispensed meaning you can more confidently know the condition of each of your freshly rolled cartridges.

The remastered RCBS Reloading App will be available on both the Apple App Store as well as the Google Play Store and is free to download and use. One neat detail I was shown in the beta version of the new app was the ability to keep an inventory of all of your RCBS loading equipment which makes it easier to order replacement parts as well as keep track of the calibration status of your powder dispensers in addition to all the features listed above. Is this the type of app you would use to keep track of all of your most precious reloading data or are you still rocking it old school with a pen and paper? Let us know down in the comments.

Well it's free, so I can't fault them for that. But for me, the way I kept track of things was your standard notebook and excel sheet. But I appreciate the effort.

@PS IDE That is the hardest part for making a switch like this for me. Everything I have is in loads of spreadsheets I've been keeping for about a decade... that's a lot of data to let go of.

Why is anyone buying reloading equipment, when no one can reload without primers? Do they find out after they have dumped hundreds or more into a setup? I have advised many against doing so and will continue.
Selling stuff they know people cannot use seems unethical.

@River_rover While it's certainly not your cheap 30-40$ primers per 1000, every now and then there are some primers available at PV, Midway, or Brownells for $60-100 per 1000. You just need to check often, or use some app to alert you when they're avaialble. It's going to be the baseline price now, so there's not much we can do about that, except to vote the dementia guy and his buddies out so there are fewer gun-buying panics.
