You can imagine the pressure of working there, day and night with just a few hours of sleep between the shifts. Above we see a paratrooper assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. He’s armed with the M110A1 CSASS, a contract awarded to Heckler and Koch. The setup is similar to the HK G28. It would be interesting to know if HK could deliver a solution in 6.5 Creedmoor if the U.S. Army wanted.

The paratroopers conducted security work as the Division continued to help facilitate the safe evacuation of U.S. citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants, and other at-risk Afghans.

Looks like a warm day in the sun and full combat gear.
