Matador Arms MONTGO-9 Monolithic 9mm Upper Receiver Assembly

Matador Arms has released a new AR lower receiver compatible 9mm monolithic upper receiver assembly called Montgo-9. One of the key features of Montgo-9 is that the recoil spring mechanism is contained inside the receiver itself and it does not require an AR buffer tube, buffer or recoil spring to operate. This feature will allow you to have a folding stock that does not render the gun inoperable when folded or don’t have a stock at all. Let’s take a closer look.

Matador Arms Montgo-9 is a simple/direct blowback operated system. The actual receiver is made of hard coat anodized billet aluminum. The bolt and trunnion are machined of 4140 steel. This upper assembly is compatible with any 9mm AR lower receiver as well as AR-15 lower receivers retrofitted with 9mm magazine adapters. The Montgo-9 upper will be initially available with a 5.5″ barrel (K version) which means it can be used to build a 9mm pistol or SBR. Montgo-9 uppers with longer barrels will be available in the future.
