If you’re new to the series, this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this Gat a sweet deal or only has a Fudd appeal?  Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.

Here is an Enfield No2 mk1 chambered in .38 S&W. This is a very rare model made in Vietnam. It does not have English proof marks and it is marked MADE IN VEITNAM with a star. I have never seen one before. The gun condition is worn and there is some wobble but nothing unexpected from an Enfield. Everything is functional and should be safe to shoot though we have not tested it. The bore looks very good.

Used by the United Kingdom from 1932 to 1963, the Enfield No 2 is a classic break top British revolver.  Well, at least we can say the originals are.  While it isn’t an original, there is something uniquely intriguing about firearms that were copied by another country.  Even if I’m reluctant to trust their quality.

Guns like this are hard to value, and it takes a real historical expert to gauge how much this should be worth.  However, there’s one thing we can determine here, and that’s whether this is a hot gat, or fudd crap.  So as always I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
