Expanding their line of pistol slide mounted charging handles, Recover Tactical has released a more advanced version of these accessories for Glock pistols. The new Recover Tactical PCH not only provides rear extensions designed to make racking the slide easier but also a top Picatinny rail section for mounting red dot sights on the slide.

Recover Tactical PCH is made of glass-reinforced polymer. It is a drop-in accessory and its installation does not require any modifications to the pistol or even removal of any parts. The installation is a matter of clamping its two halves onto the slide and securing it in place with the provided hardware. Recover Tactical PCH is compatible with all generations of double-stack Glock pistols chambered in 9mm, .357 SIG or .40 S&W with the exception of Glock 26 and 27 (the full compatibility chart can be found on the product page). The overall weight of the unit is 35 grams (1.25 oz).
Recover Tactical PCH Slide Picatinny Rail with Charging Handle is currently available for preorder at an MSRP of $39.95. The estimated start of shipping is on or before October 1, 2021. This product is covered by a lifetime warranty.
Compared to slide cut mounted red dots, the sights mounted on the Recover Tactical PCH are of course higher and the overall assembly looks pretty bulky. However, this is a way of mounting optics on a slide that does not have an optics cut. If instead of a Picatinny rail there was a direct mount for popular red dot footprints, it would be much more compact and streamlined. A benefit of such a tall mount is that one can use the standard factory iron sights through the cutout along the middle of the Picatinny rail.
