New Mexico Rocky Mountain Gun Show Canceled by the State

New Mexico Rocky Mountain Gun Show Canceled by the State

The Rocky Mountain Gun Show is a yearly traveling gun show that travels up and down the rocky mountains year-round and hosts a variety of firearms, exhibitors, training seminars, and concealed weapons classes for all to enjoy. Sadly, the show that was scheduled for November 20-21st 2021 has been canceled according to an email sent out to vendors on August 10th. In the letter, the show runners seem to indicate that they’ve had some issues with the State government regarding the use of their facilities for gun shows.

Rocky Mountain Gun Show – New Mexico Canceled

    Dear Vendors,

We are saddened to say that we were force to cancel our show being held at the Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque on November 20-21. The state of New Mexico will no longer be allowing Gun Shows at state run facilities. We are however in the process of getting a contract written out with a center in Farmington, NM and have meetings set with other facilities in Albuquerque. We truly did not want to cancel yet another event and are eager to get Rokcky Mountain Gun Show back in New Mexico. We will keep everyone updated on future dates. If you have any questions Please feel free to contact us ast the number listed below.

New Mexico Rocky Mountain Gun Show Canceled by the State

This sad news seems to set a nefarious precedent for gun owners and attendees of gun shows. For a majority of the public, this may not seem like a big deal. However, gun shows are often some of the biggest highlights for hunters, shooters, knife collectors, and reloaders. When things like this happen it makes me worry that it may become difficult to organize shows in other states.

For any residents of New Mexico and specifically the Albuquerque area, if you have any leads on suitable non-state-run facilities for the Rocky Mountain Gun Show perhaps you could reach out via the show’s website www.rockymountaingunshow.com. I’m sure any help would be greatly appreciated. Have you seen shows have any difficulties in your own area? Let us know in the comments.
