Mischief Machine Unveils 7075-T6 Billet P365 Grip Module

I recently had the pleasure of traveling just a short distance up the road to Mechanicsburg, PA to meet up with the owner of a small machine shop. Joe, owner, and operator of Mischief Machine has been hard at work developing some cool new products out of his small shop. Those of you who watch TFBTV may recall the name of the business from TFBTV Mailroom #40 in which Joe sent several of his billet aluminum and 3D printed handstops and EDC flashlight mounting options. Joe has now finally revealed that he has been working on a 7075-T6 billet P365 grip module for the SIG Sauer P365 pistol.

Mischief Machine Unveils 7075-T6 Billet P365 Grip Module

The new Mischief Machine grip module is 100% machined in Mechanicsburg, PA by Joe himself who owns and runs the entire operation. Each P365 grip module is then sent off for a Type III hard coat anodizing. The grip follows the same basic lines of the original P365XL frame with the notable exception of a beveled and flared magwell, and an extended beavertail complete with chamfered and beveled edges. The core of the grip module features a 4140 QPQ Melonite recoil lug.

I drove up to speak to Joe about his project and participated in a bit of an endurance test to see how the new frame affected the performance of the P365 platform. In total, I put exactly 500 rounds through the grip module without issue. Aside from some limited magazine compatibility, I was very impressed with the characteristics of the all-aluminum module, especially how comfortable the grip itself was for a CNC machined product. The billet P365 grip module will be compatible with all P365 XL magazines and accessories. It will be sold for an estimated MSRP of $299.00 and will be available sometime in the middle of September, according to Joe.
