SIG Sauer Introduces the New SIG TREAD Snakebite SE
The two primary improvements that have been made to the Snakebite SE are its new Hybrid Compensator/Flash Hider and 2-stage match trigger. The SIG Snakebite SE will also feature an enhanced 13-inch free-floating M-LOK handguard. The unite flash hider/compensator combo offers the shooter minimal flash for low light shooting and reduced muzzle rise.
Meanwhile, the two-stage Matchlite trigger gives you an ultralight trigger pull for increased accuracy with the benefit of takeup that only a two-stage trigger can offer. The trigger features a flat-bladed design which blends well with the reduced angle pistol grip that the TREAD has. In addition to these upgrades, the SIG TREAD Snakebite SE still carries over the same great durability that its Cerakote finished receivers and barrels offer and will be 100% backward compatible with all currently available SIG TREAD accessories.
The barrel features a full-length high-temperature FDE Cerakote and a 1:7 twist rate for pairing with heavier grain bullets (77-grain). This is in stark contrast to the more versatile 1:8 twist tread models. Much like the other TREAD models, the SE version of the Snakebite comes with fully ambidextrous controls, and the Magpul SL-K stock.
