Welcome to the TFB Podcast Roundup 4. I recently took a trip out to Wyoming to do some prairie dog hunting and while my time out there was phenomenal, I was unfortunately stuck for many hours inside of the increasingly unbearable air transit system. Thankfully, this gave me plenty of time to reach out and discover a few new podcasts that I hadn’t encountered before. To my surprise, I actually got to meet up with one of the hosts from this week’s podcasts and gleaned a lot of invaluable information from him. So to my friend Paul G. Markel of Student of the Gun – thanks for all the info!
Don’t forget the TFB has its very own podcast, the TFB Behind the Gun Podcast featuring our host and Editor in Chief Pete M. Last week we featured special Guest Ryan Sikorski from Trijicon who talked at length about Trijcion’s new pistol iron sights that feature customizable and removable tritium inserts and hi-vis dots that complement one another whether you’re shooting in bright or low light conditions. The TFB Behind the Gun Podcast goes live every Thursday at 9:00 AM Eastern so don’t forget to subscribe and listen!

TFB Podcast Roundup 4: Student of the Gun, Bob Faxon, & Ian McCollum
Subjects: Firearms Policy Coalition Support and Amring up your Neighborhood Watch
What role does the Neighborhood Watch program play in keeping communities safe from crime? Before you answer that, listen to this episode and consider a Neighborhood Watch group with rifles. We will discuss this topic at length during our SOTG Homeroom from CrossBreed Holsters.
Subjects: Faxon’s 2021 product lineup and Closeted Gucci Glock Fanboys
Many of you will be familiar with Faxon Firearms solely based on their reputation for making barrels for just about anything. I’ve personally owned quite a few Faxon products throughout the years and they make some extremely affordable barrels and are even breaking out into new territory with new offerings for rimfires as well as concealed carry pistols. In this episode of the Faxon Blog and Podcast, Bob Faxon discusses some of the new products for 2021.
Subjects: Dispelling the myth that open bolt firearms are illegal and immediately considered a machine gun
Fudd Busters is hosted by gun rights Lawyer Matt Larosiere. He started Fudd Busters with the intention of dispelling the various (and numerous) myths that surround and infiltrate the 2nd Amendment community and takes some often confusing or confounding firearms law and turns it into plain English for his viewers. In this episode of his podcast, he talks about why open bolt firearms are in fact legal and don’t automatically get “machine gun” status by the NFA because of this one simple design aspect.
Subjects: The guys talk about the Ruger LCP MAX and their first impressions of the concealed carry community’s latest .380 ACP offering.
New gun, new episode! In Episode 12 of the Lipsey’s AIM HIGHER Podcast, dive in as we break down this all-new tiny powerhouse, the Ruger LCP MAX. We talk features, function, and future of what could be the latest trend in ultimate pocket carry pistols.
I’ve owned several LCPs throughout the years and it is one of the best “grab and go” concealed carry firearms out there. If you’re just making a quick trip away from the house to go grab a six-pack or a bottle of booze, it’s the obvious answer if you’re not willing to get your EDC gear ready to go for such a short trip. The LCP MAX just makes you that much more prepared with improved sights, new grip, and increased capacity.
Subjects: Ian McCollum’s new book – Pistols of Warlords, Firearms Collecting, Historical Pistols
The History Unloaded podcast is a great historical-based firearms podcast that goes into great detail about the many phenomenal firearms museums in our country as well as the firearms themselves, historical gun culture, and lots of John Moses Browning wisecracks. This week they have Ian McCollum from Forgotten Weapons on to discuss the various new avenues for firearms collecting and his upcoming book – Pistols of Warlords.
Thanks for reading TFB and thanks for stopping by to check out these podcasts! If you find any podcasts you’ve been into lately or have an episode from a podcast you really liked – let us know down in the comments!
