Magazine capacity might be one of them but one of the biggest trepidations that newer or inexperienced gun owners have with modifying guns is the permanence of it. Faxon is now offering a non-permanent solution for those who want to squeeze a bit more capacity out of their Glock 19 pistols with their new Modular Magazine Extensions.

Made from 6061 T6 aluminum with a type 2 anodized finish, the Modular Magazine Extensions can take your stock 15-round Glock magazine and transform it into either an 18 or 20 round magazine with a simple swap of the baseplate(s). Each Modular Magazine Extension kit will come with an adapter sleeve and either a +5 or +3 baseplate. While the +5 magazine extension requires the use of an extended magazine spring, the +3 baseplate can be used with your factory Glock magazine spring without issue.

The +5 and +3 Modular Magazine Extension Kits will cost $50 each but for an additional $25 you can purchase a combo pack and have both a +3 and +5 extension (although you will only be able to use one at a time without purchasing an additional extension sleeve). Really cool product idea though it will probably need to be cheaper to succeed. It's like someone asked the question "wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to upgrade magazine capacity with the magazine bodies that you already have so you don't have to go spend money on more?" and then made it more expensive than buying new mags.
