While the pistol may (or may not) be new in the box, the wear at the front of the slide doesn’t inspire confidence. Maybe this gun was just racked a few too many times while showcasing it to potential clientele. We’ll never know.

While I can certainly see the appeal of guns like this Regard, I’ve always preferred to get the real thing.  Like all clones, when the original gun is still on the market, I’d much prefer to have that. Certainly, there’s a market for guns like this (even if it’s small), but there’s still a market. I’m not sure about the reliability and quality of the Regard, but I’d be curious to try it out in a less flashy model.

So is there something I’m missing, and this Girsan Regard is really worth just under $1,400?  Or am I correct in thinking this is an overpriced knockoff?  As always, I leave it up to you, the readers, to decide.
