The Switchblade: SIG SAUER Announces New M400 Series AR Pistol
SIG SAUER is one of the biggest names in the world of gun brands. They’ve produced more than a few massively popular firearm models in their nearly half-century history. The recent transition from their German roots to a new US-based operational structure, with SIG Germany having shut down just over a year ago, appears to have done nothing to slow them down. Today the company offers an array of products to include pistols, rifles, optics, suppressors, ammo, and a cavalcade of other parts and accessories. Now their rifle-caliber pistol family has grown by one, with the announcement of the new Switchblade model.
SIG SAUER’s M400 Series @ TFB:The Switchblade belongs to SIG’s M400 series, which is their traditional 5.56-caliber AR lineup. Though there have been others previously that are now discontinued, the current M400 offerings other than the new Switchblade model feature SIG’s “Tread” branding, which the Switchblade does not. The series includes a standard 16″ base model, the Coil model that comes out of the box equipped with extras like a ROMEO5 red dot and flat-blade enhanced trigger, the Predator version with its hunting-purposed features, and an 11.5″ pistol variant with a Shockwave Blade pistol brace. While no official pricing info has been publicized as of the time of this writing, we do know that the new Switchblade addition is also an 11.5″-barrelled pistol, but features several key differences from the prior pistol model. These particulars are detailed in SIG’s press release copied below, as well as on their website.

Why go back to the 3 prong type flash suppresser. The Army got rid of those years ago because they got snagged on everything, brush mostly. Why go backwards? How dumb.
I was hoping "switchblade" somehow referred to an adjustable gas block
