The World moves faster and faster, and the number of images produced with it. But rest assured that TFB’s Photo Of The Day will keep its focus on firearms. And man’s best friend of course. Above you can see Norwegian Tyri from the K9 unit in the Quick Reaction Force Claymore in HV-16 (Norwegian Defense). They are parts of an exercise defending the local harbor. Surely you have already noted that the K9 handler carries the Heckler & Koch MP7 (Maschinenpistole 7).
Norway is most likely the World’s largest user of the MP7 with some 6,500 units ordered. Apart from the Norwegian Army, the MP7 is also used by Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) and the Royal Police Escort.
For when the MP7 is not enough, there are HK416s and .50 Cal Heavy Machine Guns available.
