New from SIG SAUER’s Custom Works program: the Spectre Series P365XL and P320 XCOMPACT.

By now, SIG SAUER‘s handguns need little introduction. In addition to their stable of highly-regarded prior models, their newest additions with the P320 and P365 models have achieved significant success as well. TFB has previously covered and reviewed numerous iterations of both designs, largely with overwhelmingly positive overtones. In addition to the standard versions of their pistols, SIG’s Custom Works program produces some upgraded and special-edition variants, and is now adding a new Spectre series to the mix.

SIG Custom Works @ TFB:
These special-edition handguns feature unique slide cuts and laser-engraved X-pattern frames.

SIG has just announced the addition of a new Custom Works pairing to their catalogue: the Spectre Series. These new limited-run versions of the P365XL and P320 XCOMPACT will include some unique features not found on other variants. Some of these include the in-house laser-engraved X-pattern grip and choice of factory slide cuts. The core of the guns will remain the same, with the 9mm base designs that have sold so well over recent years since their initial release. While no official MSRP accompanied the announcement, it’s safe to guess that these higher-end handguns will command a higher price than their standard-variant siblings. SIG’s press release regarding this new Custom Works series is as copied below.

If you want some popular custom features without having to buy a standard P365XL or P320 and then send it to a third-party gunsmith, one of these guns may be just the ticket.

Spectre is reserved for the best bad guys on the planet according to the long dead, Ian Flemming. With the "X" machined into the slide, why call it the Spectre - why when X-Men is best fit for the legion of comic book kooks and gamer goons? .

Ron Cohen has ruined Sig, just like he ruined Kimber before he left. Sig classic pistols are good the way the Germans meant them to be without all the fancy colors, grips and other iterations for he Girly-boys and Range Heroes.
