POTD: FN SCAR in NATO Enhanced Forward Presence

    NATO FN Herstal FN SCAR

Another Photo Of The Day with an FN Herstal FN SCAR with all the perks. Here it is in the hands of some Belgian Forces, at the NATO Enhanced Forward Presence in Lithuania, 2021. The Enhanced Forward Presence (EFP) is NATO’s forward deployed defense in Central Europe through Poland and Northern Europe through the Baltic states, and they seem to be very busy with their training.

Apart from the FN SCAR-Ls Belgium also use a variety of FN Minimis in 5.56 and 7.62. The “Maximi” is replacing the older FN MAG.

The SCAR-L is Belgium’s standard service rifle.

The medics got some training as well.

What do you think of the Belgian uniform and the camouflage pattern?

The Slovenian Armed Forces use an unusual firearm made by FN Herstal, the FN F2000.

Belgium’s experience with the FN SCAR is probably quite important as Sweden and Finland work together to procure new service rifle.
