For this author, and I bet for many of our readers too, “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” is the best movie of the whole Terminator franchise. For 1991, the year it was released, it had amazing visual effects never seen before and many of the scenes and phrases from that movie became famous and frequently quoted. One of these scenes is the Galleria scene where Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character, the T-800, pulls a sawed-off Winchester Model 1887 lever action shotgun out of a box of roses to stop the shapeshifting T-1000 and protect John Connor. Chiappa Firearms have been making the replica of this shotgun called T-Model for quite a long time but they have also recently added to their website a limited edition version dubbed 1887 Rose Box as a tribute to the mentioned scene and dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the movie.

The Chiappa 1887 Rose Box is chambered in 12 gauge and has a 2-3/4″ chamber. The magazine capacity is five rounds. The barrel length is 18.5″, the overall length is 27.5″ and the gun weighs in at 7.8 lbs. Compared to the Chiappa T-Model which has black rubber coated walnut furniture, the 1887 Rose Box features a walnut stock and forearm with a hand-oiled finish. The right sides of the receivers are laser engraved with a rose, J-DAY ANNIVERSARY inscription under the model name and the guns are numbered. There will be 300 of these limited edition shotguns made.

The MSRP of the Chiappa 1887 Rose Box shotgun is $1,449. I wonder if it is shipped in a box of roses.
