I am a big fan of the Ruger PC Carbine and I have reviewed both the modern PC Carbine Chassis edition and the PC Charger Takedown – both are great guns and I’m surprised Ruger never thought to put something like this with the gun as a standard option. I personally store my PC Carbine Chassis in its assembled form but one of the benefits of having this type of rifle is the ability to break it down for backpacking or more tight storage.

I could see these plugs coming in handy for storage in dusty areas or when out backpacking or on the range in particularly sandy/dusty places to prevent debris from fouling up the mating process. I was sent a set of these by fellow writer Adam Scepaniak and I tested them out on my personally owned Ruger PC Carbine.
