POTD: The Heckler & Koch SP5

Photo Of The Day – The word photograph is a combination of Greek words and means “drawing with light”. The word was invented by Sir John Herschel, over 180 years ago. When I think of “drawing with light” I’m more thinking of myself with a Minigun, shooting tracers into the darkness of a desert. Or why not with HK’s SP5?

The SP5 model is made in the Heckler & Koch factory in Oberndorf, located in the southwest of Germany. Here you can see it with a suppressor and an Aimpoint ACRO Red Dot.

The backbone of the Heckler & Koch SP5 is the roller-delayed blowback operating system.

For an alternative look check the Mandalorian Heckler & Koch SP5.

“Photography is the simplest thing in the world, but it is incredibly complicated to make it really work.”
– Martin Parr

The photos are taken by Jeremy Tremp of Offensive Marketing Group and used with permission.

Have you sees the long-barreled H&K SP5L?

@LeguanSolo M16s and mp5s are among the most desired “civilian transferrable” machineguns. I looked and m16’s are 30 minimum. Low-mid 40’s for nicer examples. Even crappy mgs like M-10s/11s are 10k. And every time a civilian loses or permanently breaks a registered MG, theoretically the whole price tide rises. Someday those 80’s drug den MACs will be worth a fortune.

"Although the SP5K is essentially a remake of the SP89,
the two differ with respect to their trigger housings, trigger packs,
safeties and handguards. The new version also has a removable,
receiver-mounted Picatinny rail for mounting optics while the SP89 could only be equipped with a claw-type mount." Aug 30, 2017

@Guest Specific to the trigger housings and trigger pack changes. With these changes, if one was to purchase a registered sear - would it be interchangeable between all models?
