SB Tactical is the leading manufacturer of stabilizing braces. While they have a wide assortment of brace designs for almost every pistol out there, they are now coming to market with the SB22 chassis for the Ruger 10/22. They will have a fixed version as well as a takedown version.

Before the SB Tactical Chassis, they offered a polymer SBA3 Takedown Kit. As you can see from the photos above, it is Ruger 10/22 takedown chassis and it is actually made by Adaptive Tactical. It allows you to use any carbine buffer compatible brace for your Ruger 22 Charger Takedown. It will not work with a standard Ruger 22 Charger and the Adaptive Tactical Chassis is rather limited for accessorizing.

SB Tactical partnered with Unity Tactical on their SB22 chassis. According to Jeff Creamer, President and CEO of SB Tactical, Unity Tactical helped with the design of the chassis. The chassis is manufactured by SB Tactical.

The SB22 Chassis comes with a Reptilia Corp CQG grip. However, you can change it to any AR-15 pistol grip of your choosing. The handguard section is recessed and raised for your support hand and it has M-LOK slots. I believe it has M-LOK slots in the bottom as well. The SB22 is a polymer chassis with an aluminum insert. SB Tactical also provides you with two cover plates for use with the handguard. You can cover up the barrel or you can use the alternate Picatinny rail cover plate. This will allow you more options for mounting accessories. You can attach a tape switch using a Cloud Defensive LCS, Cloud Defensive OWL, laser, night vision clip one or scout scope with long eye relief.

The SB22 Takedown version is exactly the same only it is broken down into two halves. The Picatinny rail cover plate makes more sense for a Ruger 22 Charger Takedown since you can mount an optic to the barrel and not lose zero every time you remove and reinstall the barrel.

The SB22 Chassis features a rear Picatinny rail segment for attaching any brace or stock that you want. You can use their FSB1913, TF1913 or even their MPX PSB brace. Just in front of the Picatinny rail segment are ambidextrous QD sling sockets.

For now, the SB22 will only be made in black polymer and will retail for $124.99 for both the fixed and takedown versions. For more information go to SB Tactical’s website.
