POTD: U.S. & Swedish SOF in Exercise Vintersol

    Swedish SOF

Welcome to our daily selection of pictures. By this time you know it, it’s TFB’s Photo Of The Day to keep you in a good mood. Get a coffee, take a break and enjoy a few minutes looking at the U.S. SOF with the Ak5 (FN FNC) below. This is quite an unusual sight, although we recently saw some U.S. Special Forces with Swedish Ak 4B Rifles.

Below: Note the American flag and the Ak5 rifle, which is the Swedish standard issue rifle.

    No snow days for SOF
Swedish and U.S. SOF brace and conquer the elements for exercise Vintersol – an annual training event at the Swedish Winter Warfare Center. Vintersol allowed U.S. Special Operations Forces the chance to strengthen their tactical readiness in a subarctic environment, and continue the bonds with our Swedish partners.

If you look closely, you can see that the unit is wearing the Taiga/Winter M/90 uniform.
