The Arms of America first announced their plans of importing Polish FB Radom Mini Beryl pistols back at SHOT Show 2020. Fast forward a little over a year and these AK pistols are now in the USA and available through Arms of America and Atlantic Firearms. Let’s see what features these mini AKs pack.

The Mini Beryl pistols (the exact model designation is .223 S Mini Beryl Pistol M1) are chambered in 5.56x45mm which of course means they’ll fire .223 Remington ammunition as well. The pistols have 9-3/8″ hammer-forged barrels with a 1:9″ twist rate. As seen in the pictures, they are equipped with a top Picatinny rail section that extends back to about the middle of the receiver. At the very rear of the rail, there is a flip-over notch/diopter rear sight that can be used even when an optical sight is mounted thanks to the channel milled along the middle of the rail. The Mini Beryl pistols also feature safety selector levers with an index finger shelf, ergonomic pistol grips and polymer handguards. These guns come with one FB Radom 30-round 5.56 magazine but they are compatible with other 5.56/223 AK mags too. The overall length of the Mini Beryl pistol is 18-3/8″ and it weighs in at 6 lbs.

The muzzle device of this Mini Beryl pistol is pinned to meet the importation law requirements, however, it can be easily removed. The rear of the receiver is plugged and has a diagonal sling bar. The muzzle device removal procedure as well as the different brace and stock conversion options are shown in the below-embedded video.

These newly imported Mini Beryl AK pistols are listed on the Arms of America and Atlantic Firearms websites at an MSRP of $1,389. The estimated start of shipping is April 15, 2021.

Hopefully, the FB Radom .22LR AK pistol which we also saw at SHOT 2020, will hit the shelves soon, too.
