AI AT-X: Not an antitank rifle, but still cool

New from Accuracy International this year is the AT-X.  This new rifle is optimized by AI for PRS style competitions.  Featuring the same action as AI’s existing AT and AX rifles, the AT-X has an all new stock with both short and full length bridges, Win Tac weights, and 45-degree KeySlots for quick attachment and detachment of weights and accessories in a competition.  The AT-X’s included grip is an Ergo AR15 grip, so one can change the grip easily to one’s preferred angle and size.

The AI AT-X comes with two trigger spring kits, one for a 12oz-1.5lb pull, and another for a 1.5-2.75lb pull.  The AT-X will come initially in 6.5 Creedmoor, with 6.5 PRC “coming soon”.  The AT-X will also be available in five colors: Red, Blue, FDE, “Elite Sand” and Black.

    AI AT-X

AI’s main design goal with the AT-X was to keep the bore centerline as close to the support surface of the chassis as possible, in order to keep the rifle on target during recoil so one can spot one’s hits and get the most hits on target in the shortest amount of time possible with a bolt rifle.  Like all AI’s rifles, the price for admittance is high, but the AT-X is AI’s lowest cost rifle to date.  The current MSRP is $4,999.95.  Rifles can be pre-ordered at Mile High Shooting Accessories or Eurooptic.
