Photo Of The Day – We have a Romanian sniper that provides overwatch as elements of the 1st Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment, 2-503rd Airborne Infantry Regiment “The Rock”, and 54th Brigade Engineer Battalion are taking part in a series of assaults on a simulated occupied town.

Again we see a mixture of firearms from the East and the West, and why a free-floating barrel is a good thing. The location is the Hohenfels Training Area, Germany and the name of the exercise was Saber Junction 20.

During the missions, air assaults, obstacle breaches, and urban battle drills were conducted as part of the training to build readiness and strengthen interoperability among NATO allies.
