Rock River Arms is well known for their quality AR-15 rifles, but they’ve just announced a brand new precision bolt action rifle, the RBG-1S series. RRA actually ran a soft launch of the RBG-1S at SHOT Show 2019 but took their time to hone it. Early examples featured a fluted barrel, but that was one of the things that were refined on the final product. RRA states that the RBG rifle action is a proprietary short action receiver, fitted with a stainless steel, threaded barrel with varying length options and uses AICS pattern magazines.

The RBG precision bolt action rifles from Rock River Arms are available in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor, with barrel options in 20, 22, and 24-inch lengths. The receiver is topped with a 20 MOA 1913 Picatinny rail to give shooters extra range for their turret elevation for long-range shooting. The trigger will have two drop-in options between a Timney or TriggerTech trigger. The safety is two-position and the bolt release is mounted on the receiver. Even though the receiver is proprietary, Rock River Arms kept the action based on the Remington 700 so that users could easily switch stocks if so desired, however, the ejection port retains a unique shape. Aside from the KRG stock and the trigger, the rest of the RBG bolt guns are made all in-house. The RBG-1S is also covered under Rock River Arms’ lifetime warranty. Rock River Arms’ description can be read below (it should be noted that the .308 barrel twist is 1:10):

The Rock River Arms RBG-1S offers a comprehensive list of features such as 20-, 22- or 24-inch Wilson stainless steel, 1:8 TWIST, 5/8-24 thread, air gauged, Cryo-Treated barrels, .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor models, 20 MOA Base, Detachable Box Mag (AICS Compatible), choice of a Trigger Tech or Timney trigger and hard travel case. The rifle will do well at everything from prone to positional shooting and will keep the person on the rifle comfortable doing it. While it does represent an investment in your shooting, it also offers a lot of capability. Rock River Arms also stands behind this rifle. Unlike a lot of custom builders, this time-tested brand will still be in business when you need them.
