Senior airman Marianique Santos, U.S. Air Force, got an honorable mention in the Combat Training category in the Defense Visual Information Awards 2015 with the photo above. The photo is called “The Drag”, and we see U.S. Army Soldiers from the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, as they carry an injured soldier during a training exercise at Fort Bragg, N.C., April 15, 2015. The exercise tested the soldiers’ abilities to successfully conduct a mission, complete the objective and rapidly evacuate casualties.
