[SHOT 2021] Browning SHOT Show Special Firearms
Like their sister company Winchester which SHOT Show Special firearms we covered yesterday, Browning has also released a number of limited edition guns for the SHOT Show 2021. These guns differ from their standard, catalog counterparts by unique finishes, furniture and configuration options. In total, there are 106 Browning SHOT Show Special guns. Let’s see what firearms are included in this list and take a look at some of the most interesting ones.
Browning 2021 SHOT Show Special Rifles
AB3 And X-Bolt Rifles
There is one AB3 SHOT Show Special Browning rifle ( AB3 Stalker Long Range) and 17 models of X-Bolt rifles that cover a wide range of options including classic wood stock guns like the X-Bolt Gold Medallion, relatively more affordable polymer stock rifles like the X-Bolt Stalker Long Range and custom-grade guns like the different iterations of X-Bolt Pro and X-Bolt Mountain Pro rifles that are equipped with carbon-fiber stocks. Many of the higher-end guns are available chambered in the new 6.8 Western cartridge. There are also a couple of left-handed models.
The AB3 Stalker Long Range rifle has an MSRP of $799.99. Depending on the configuration, the prices of X-Bolt rifles vary from $999,99 to $2,699.99.
BLR Rifles
There is only one Brownin BLR SHOT Show Special rifle, the BLR Gold Medallion. This rifle is equipped with a Grade III/IV walnut furniture with rosewood caps and brass spacers. The rifle is available in the following caliber options: .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270 Win, .308 Win, .30-06 Springfield and .300 Win Mag. Depending on the caliber choice the MSRPs vary from $1,539.99 to $1,629.99.
BAR Rifles
Four BAR semi-auto rifles are included in the Browning’s SHOT Show Special list – wooden and polymer stocked versions of BAR MK 3 ($1,339.99 – $1,429.99) and MK 3 DBM rifles ($1,539.99-$1,569.99). Interestingly, all four are left-handed models.
Rimfire Rifles
The SHOT Show Special Browning rimfire rifles include the following four models: T-Bolt Composite Sporter bolt action rifle ($749.99 – $779.99), BL-22 Grade II Maple lever-action rifle ($899.99), SA-22 Maple ($939.99) and SA-22 Challenge ($939.99) semi-auto rifles. The T-Bolt is available in .22LR, .17HMR and .22 WMR calibers. The other three guns are chambered in .22 LR.
Browning 2021 SHOT Show Special Shotguns
Citori Shotguns
The eleven models of Browning Citory shotguns include a wide variety of receiver and furniture finishes, colors and grades as well as cover all the popular shotgun calibers: 12ga, 16Ga, 20Ga, 28Ga, and 410 Bore. One model, the Citori CXS White 20/28 Gauge Combo, comes with two sets of barrels chambered in 20 and 28 gauges. With the exception of this combo model which has an MSRP of $4,119.99, the prices for other models vary from $1,999.99 to $3,399.99.
Citori 725 Shotguns
Half of the eight models of Browning SHOT Show Special Citori 725 over & under shotguns are left-handed ones. All eight shotguns are chambered in 12 gauge and have ported barrels. Some models come with raised barrel ribs and adjustable cheekpieces. Two of these shotguns have maple furniture with the rest featuring walnut stocks and forearms. The price range is $3,199.99 – $3,819.99.
Cynergy Shotguns
The four Cynergy 12 gauge shotguns offered by Browning as SHOT Show Specials include a wooden stock model ($2,139.99) and three shotguns with camouflaged composite stocks and Burnt Bronze Cerakoted metal surfaces ($2,339.9).
A5 Shotguns
Browning A5 semi-auto shotgun has the largest number of SHOT Show special models. The 19 SHOT Show Special A5s offer a wide variety of finishes and camouflage patterns – from maple and walnut stocks with nickel or black metal parts to combinations of various composite stock camouflages and Cerakote colors of metal surfaces. With the exception of the two Sweet Sixteen models chambered in 16 gauge, all other models are chambered in 12 gauge. The prices vary from $1,739.99 – $1,999.99.
Maxus II Shotguns
Browning also offers a dozen of SHOT Show Special models of the recently released Maxus II semi-auto shotgun. With the exception of one walnut stocked model, the 11 other models of limited edition Maxus II shotguns have various camouflage finishes. All these shotguns are chambered in 12 gauge. One model, the Maxus II Rifled Deer, has a fully rifled barrel. The price range is $1,599.99 – $1,999.99.
Silver Shotguns
The seven Browning SHOT Show Special Silver shotguns are all camouflaged guns featuring Vintage Tan, Realtree Max-5, Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat and Mossy Oak Bottomland camo patterns. All Silver shotguns are chambered in 12 gauge. The MSRPs are $1,179.99 or $1,229.99.
BPS Shotguns
Two models of Browning Shot Show Special BPS pump-action shotguns include the BPS Field Micro Midas ($699.99) which comes with walnut furniture and is available in 20 gauge and 410 bore, and the BPS Field Camo that is chambered in 12 gauge, has composite stock and forearm, and is completely covered in Realtree Max-5 camouflage.
Browning 2021 SHOT Show Special Pistols
Buck Mark Pistols
In the pistols category, Browning has released 10 limited edition models of their rimfire Buck Mark pistol. The selection is quite diverse – from rather simple configurations to Vision models that have a custom machining of the aluminum barrel sleeve. Most of these Buck Mark pistols feature a top Picatinny rail and two of them come with Crimson Trace red dot sight. One model comes with a Crimson Trace laser. The prices vary from $469.99 – $749.99.
1911-22 Pistols
Next up in the Browning SHOT Show Special pistol line is the 1911-22 pistol (a 1911-shaped handgun chambered in .22 LR) with two limited-edition options. One of the pistols, the 1911-22 Black Label Tungsten ($619.99 – $639.99) has a more traditional appearance whereas the other one, 1911-22 Black Label Suppressor Ready Muzzle Brake Laser ($829.99), comes with everything its name implies – threaded muzzle fitted with a muzzle brake and a Crimson Trace laser installed on the dust cover rail.
1911-380 Pistols
Wrapping up the Browning SHOT Show Special line of firearms are the following four 1911-380 pistol models: Black Label Medallion Pro with Rail, Black Label Tungsten, Black Label Pro American Flag, and Black Label Medallion Laser. The latter comes with a Crimson Trace laser. All these 1911-style handguns are chambered in .380 Auto. The price range is $819.99 – $979.99.
