[2021] Realtree Camo Ammo? … New CCI Clean-22 Realtree 22 Long Rifle
With the dawn of a New Year, it means lots of new products related to the firearms industry for gun lovers like ourselves. It’s like Christmas 2.0 as we see the cascade of new products announced and are contemplating whether we really need two kidneys or not (could probably get by with just one, right). One of the 1st new product announcements to come from Vista Outdoors is Clean-22 Realtree rimfire ammo specifically from CCI. This offering of ammunition utilizes their polymer bullets for a cleaner shooting experience with a unique twist. You can read the complete list of specifications below as presented by CCI:
- New 400-round bottle with Realtree Edge™ camouflage
- Polymer bullet coating greatly reduces lead fouling in the barrel without leaving residue
- Cuts lead buildup in suppressors 60 to 80 percent
- 40-grain tan, green and black lead round nose bullets
- Optimized bullet geometry for improved accuracy
- High-velocity loading and reliable function in semi-automatic firearms
- Clean-22 Realtree 40 Grain 22 Long Rifle | 400 Count Bottle | 1,235 FPS | 966CC
The MSRP of $43.99 will get you a bottle of 400 rounds of these polymer-coated, rimfire projectiles. It is a bit of a fun and unique twist to actually make the ammunition somewhat camouflage with Green, Tan, and Black bullets with the Realtree Edge™ camouflage in mind. Aside from the jazzy polymer coated bullets, you also get the benefits of less copper and lead fouling in your firearm, and 60% – 80% less lead buildup if you are sporting a silencer. CCI goes on to elaborate further about the Clean-22 Realtree ammunition below:
Concealment meets clean. New CCI® Clean-22® Realtree® bottles hold 400 rounds, and their exclusive green, tan and black polymer bullet coating greatly reduces copper and lead fouling in the barrel. The coating doesn’t leave a residue and cuts lead buildup in suppressors 60 to 80 percent. The 40-grain round nose lead bullet’s geometry has been optimized for accuracy and is ideal for both targets and small game.
While this ammunition might not be able to make you anymore stealthy in the woods pursuing squirrels, rabbits, or other critters, it is nonetheless a positive thing to see CCI producing more clean rimfire ammunition for all of us to feed our guns with. Overall, would you be willing to pick some of this ammunition up if CCI got it out to retailers soon? As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! Beats the heck out of that lipstick looking crap. Until you set it down on a stump in the woods and can't find it again...lol. Then again finding it to buy it to start with will be a much bigger problem than losing it in the woods.
